Apps on iPhone and iPad are generally reliable, but every so often one starts misbehaving. It might close the instant you open it, sit on a loading screen forever or refuse to play anything at all. When that app is IBO Player Pro, these fixes cover the problems we hear about most from iOS users.

They are arranged from quickest to most thorough. Stop as soon as the app works again, since there is no need to go further than you have to.

Identify the Symptom

  • Crash on launch: the app opens and immediately disappears.
  • Stuck loading: the app opens but never gets past its first screen.
  • No playback: menus work but channels or movies will not start.
  • Login lost: the app asks for your details again unexpectedly.

Most of the steps below help with all four, but the troubleshooting section near the end gives targeted advice for each.

Fix 1: Close the App Completely

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle to open the app switcher; on devices with a Home button, double-click it.
  2. Find IBO Player Pro and swipe its card upward to close it.
  3. Open the app again from the home screen.

Fix 2: Restart the Device

Turn the iPhone or iPad off, wait until the screen is fully dark, then turn it back on. On recent models, press and hold the side button with one of the volume buttons until the power-off slider appears. A restart clears temporary glitches that closing one app does not touch.

Fix 3: Check the Connection the App Is Using

Open Safari and load a website to confirm the device is actually online. If you are on Wi-Fi, check that you joined your own network and not a guest or neighboring one.

On an iPhone or a cellular iPad, iOS lets you block individual apps from using mobile data. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data), scroll to the list of apps and make sure IBO Player Pro is switched on if you intend to use it away from Wi-Fi.

Fix 4: Confirm Date and Time Are Automatic

Secure connections depend on the device clock being correct. Open Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically if it is off. This small setting fixes more connection problems than you might expect.

Fix 5: Update the App and iOS

  1. Open the App Store and tap your profile picture.
  2. Scroll to the updates list and update IBO Player Pro if it appears.
  3. Then go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any iOS or iPadOS update.

Fix 6: Offload the App

Offloading is an iOS feature that removes the app itself while keeping its documents and data. When you reinstall, the app comes back fresh but often with your saved information intact.

  1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage).
  2. Wait for the list to load, then tap IBO Player Pro.
  3. Tap Offload App and confirm.
  4. Tap Reinstall App on the same screen, or tap the app icon on the home screen to download it again.

Before You Remove Anything

Offloading and deleting are safe, but they may clear the profile you created inside the app. Spend a moment making sure you can rebuild it:

  • Find your subscription email and keep it open in Mail.
  • Check that you remember your Apple Account password, since the App Store may ask for it when you download the app again.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi so the download is quick and does not use mobile data.

It is also worth checking whether the problem affects only this device. If IBO Player Pro works on another iPhone, iPad or Apple TV in the house, the account and service are fine and the fix lies with this particular device.

Fix 7: Delete and Reinstall

If offloading did not help, a full delete gives you a completely clean start. Touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App. Download it again from the App Store, tap ADD USER and enter the details from your subscription email.

Troubleshooting by Symptom

The App Crashes Right Away

Updates and offloading are the most effective fixes here. Also check that your device has some free storage, since an almost full iPhone can struggle to launch apps.

It Never Gets Past Loading

Confirm the internet connection, the date and time setting and the mobile data permission. Then try on a different network if you can, to see whether the problem follows the device.

Menus Work but Nothing Plays

That usually points to the connection rather than the app. Our guide to why IPTV keeps buffering walks through network causes.

The Login Keeps Disappearing

Re-add your profile with ADD USER and check each detail carefully. The full setup steps are in our iPhone guide and our iPad guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between offloading and deleting?

Offloading removes the app but keeps its data on the device. Deleting removes both, so you start from scratch.

Will reinstalling the app cancel my subscription?

No. Your subscription is separate from the app. You simply sign in again with the same details.

Should I try a different app?

Our Apple device guide uses IBO Player Pro, so we recommend fixing that app first and contacting support if it still fails.

The app works on Wi-Fi but not on cellular. Why?

Check Settings > Cellular to make sure the app is allowed to use mobile data.

Does Low Power Mode affect the app?

Low Power Mode reduces some background activity to save battery. If the app behaves differently with it on, try turning it off from Control Center while you watch.
