TiviMate IPTV Player is one of the two Android apps listed in our device setup instructions, alongside our recommended IBO Player Pro. Some people simply prefer its look and the way it arranges channels, and it is installed from Google Play like any other app.
This guide is for Android only. TiviMate is not part of our setup steps for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Windows, so if you use one of those, follow the IBO Player Pro instructions for your device instead. Menu labels inside TiviMate can change between versions, so treat the wording below as a guide rather than an exact script.
Where TiviMate Fits
The app is built with television screens in mind, which is why many people use it on an Android TV box. Whether it appears as compatible on a particular phone or tablet depends on the device and on Google Play, so check the listing on your own hardware. If the store shows it as unavailable, IBO Player Pro is the alternative our guide recommends.
Before You Install
- An Android device with a working Google Play Store.
- Your subscription email with the Username, Password and Server URL.
- A remote, keyboard or touchscreen for entering text.
- A few minutes for the first channel list to load.
Step 1: Install TiviMate from Google Play
- Open Google Play on your Android device.
- Search for TiviMate IPTV Player.
- Check that the developer and listing look right, then choose Install.
- Open the app when the download is done.
If the search returns nothing useful, resist the urge to grab the app from a download site. Files from unknown sources can be outdated or unsafe; our support team can help you choose a different route.
Step 2: Add Your Playlist
On first launch, TiviMate prompts you to add a playlist. When it asks for the type, choose the Xtream Codes login option rather than a single playlist link, since your subscription email gives you the three separate details that option uses.
- Select the option to add a playlist, then pick Xtream Codes login.
- Enter the Server URL first if the app asks for it, copying every character including the port.
- Fill in your Username and Password exactly as your email shows them.
- Continue to the next screen and give the playlist a name you will recognize, such as AlohaStream4K.
- Finish the wizard and wait while channels, movies and series are imported.
Check the Summary Screen
Before finishing, TiviMate usually shows a summary of what it found. If that screen shows no channels at all, go back one step and recheck your details rather than continuing with an empty playlist.
Step 3: First Look Around
Once the import finishes, the main screen lists your channel groups. Scroll through them with the remote to get a feel for the layout, and add the channels you watch most to favorites from the channel options menu. Long-pressing the select button on many remotes opens extra options for the highlighted item.
Keeping TiviMate Tidy
A playlist with every group visible can feel overwhelming at first. Spending a few minutes organizing it pays off every time you open the app.
- Build a favorites group with the handful of channels you watch daily.
- Hide groups you never use, if your version of the app offers that option, so scrolling is shorter.
- Keep the app updated from Google Play; open the Play Store, go to Manage apps & device and apply any pending update.
- If you ever reinstall the app, have your subscription email ready, because you will add the playlist again from the beginning.
None of these changes affect your subscription itself. They only change how the app displays what your playlist already contains.
TiviMate or IBO Player Pro?
Both apps use the same subscription details, so you can try each and keep the one you like. IBO Player Pro is the one we recommend and it is available on more of the platforms we support. For the box itself, our Android TV box setup guide covers connecting and updating the hardware, and our Android phone guide covers watching on a phone.
Troubleshooting TiviMate
The App Will Not Accept Your Login
Mistyped details cause most failures. Watch for a lowercase L that should be a capital I, a zero that should be the letter O, and a missing port number at the end of the server address.
The Channel List Is Old or Incomplete
TiviMate keeps a local copy of your playlist. Updating the playlist from its settings, or clearing the app cache as explained in our Android cache guide, usually brings it up to date.
Playback Pauses
Restart the device and the router, then test again. If only one channel misbehaves while others play, note its name before contacting support.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use TiviMate on iPhone, Apple TV or Windows?
TiviMate is only part of our Android setup steps. On Apple devices and Windows, our guides use IBO Player Pro.
Do I need a different login for TiviMate?
No. The same Username, Password and Server URL from your subscription email work in either player.
Why is TiviMate not showing in Google Play on my phone?
Availability can depend on the device. If it does not appear or is marked incompatible, install IBO Player Pro instead.
How do I refresh my channels?
Look for the playlist update option in the app settings. Menu names can change between app versions, so contact support if you cannot find it.
Enjoy Your Setup
With your playlist imported, TiviMate is ready to go. If you still need a subscription, pick a plan and return here once your login email arrives.
