A desktop computer with a good monitor is a perfectly capable place to watch. If you already spend part of the evening at your desk, or the PC sits in a den or dorm room without a television, a player app turns it into one.

For Windows, our setup uses IBO Player Pro. This guide explains how to obtain it carefully, install it, sign in with your subscription and get comfortable watching on a PC. TiviMate is not part of our Windows setup, so the steps here focus on IBO Player Pro only.

What You Need

  • A Windows PC with current updates installed.
  • An internet connection; a wired one is ideal for a desktop.
  • The purchase email containing your three login details.
  • Speakers or headphones connected to the PC.

Step 1: Update Windows

Open Settings, choose Windows Update and select Check for updates. Install what is offered and restart if prompted. Updates also bring newer drivers for graphics and networking, which matter for video playback.

Step 2: Get IBO Player Pro from the Official Source

The Windows version is downloaded rather than installed from a console-style store, so the most important part of this step is making sure you get the genuine app.

  1. Open your web browser and search for IBO Player Pro.
  2. Go to the app developer’s official website; read the address bar carefully and avoid look-alike sites and third-party download portals.
  3. Choose the Windows download offered there.
  4. Save the installer to your Downloads folder.

If you are not sure which site is the official one, stop and ask our support team before downloading anything. A file from an unknown website is not worth the risk to your computer.

Step 3: Install the App

  1. Open your Downloads folder and double-click the installer.
  2. Windows may ask whether you want to allow the app to make changes; approve this only for the installer you just downloaded from the official site.
  3. Follow the installer screens until it finishes.
  4. Launch IBO Player Pro from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Do not turn off Windows security features to get an installer to run. If Windows warns you about the file, contact support instead of overriding the warning.

Step 4: Sign In

Choose the Xtream Codes API login in the app and enter your Username, Password and Server URL. With a full keyboard this is the easiest platform for typing, and copy and paste from your email works well. Paste each value into the right field, then remove any space that came along at the end.

After you confirm, give the app a moment to fetch your channels, movies and series before you start browsing.

Setting Up a Comfortable Viewing Space

  • Use full-screen mode so the picture fills the monitor; pressing Esc usually exits it.
  • Position the monitor at eye level and reduce glare from windows or lamps behind you.
  • Choose the right audio device from the speaker icon on the taskbar.
  • Close games, large downloads and browser tabs with video before you start watching.
  • Pin IBO Player Pro to the taskbar for quick access.

Keeping the App Up to Date

Unlike apps from Google Play or the App Store, a program downloaded from a website may not update itself in the same way. Check inside the app for an update notice from time to time, or revisit the developer’s official website to see whether a newer Windows version is available. Install updates the same careful way you installed the original, from the official source only.

Watching on a Second Monitor

If your desk has two screens, you can keep the player on one while working or browsing on the other. Drag the IBO Player Pro window to the second monitor and switch it to full screen there. Pressing the Windows key with Shift and an arrow key also moves the active window between displays. Keep in mind that heavy work on the main screen still shares the same computer, so close demanding programs if the video starts to stutter.

Desktop Network Tips

Most desktops have an Ethernet port, and plugging in a cable is one of the simplest ways to make playback steadier. If your PC relies on Wi-Fi, keep the antenna or wireless card unobstructed; a tower pushed under a metal desk can lose signal.

Troubleshooting on Windows

The Installer Will Not Run

Download the file again from the official source, as the first copy may be incomplete. If Windows blocks it, contact our support team rather than changing security settings.

The Login Is Rejected

Paste each value fresh from your email and check for extra spaces. Make sure the Server URL includes everything from the email, including any port number.
